Ballina RSL Sub-Branch Museum
1 Grant Street, Ballina NSW 2478
In 2004, the Sub-Branch President, Blue McNally proposed that the sub-Branch should establish a museum within the Ballina RSL Club Ltd’s building because of the quantity of war memorabilia being donated to the sub-Branch. Permission was sought & granted from the RSL Club & in 2008 the then sub-Branch President, Mac McCallum became the inaugural curator of the museum. With the sad passing of Mac McCallum in October 2018, the assistant curator, Bill Thompson took over as museum curator with the assistance of Allan Britt & Allan Haynes as assistant curators. These volunteers can be seen on any given Wednesday morning happily dusting, cleaning & oiling their exhibits with a sense of pride in what has been established. Well worth a look.
Open during Ballina RSL Club hours on the ground floor of the Ballina RSL Club Ltd.
Guided tours can be arranged through our Office. Free entry.
